Always Check the Homework

After it was graded and the child brought it home, the mom returned it to school the next day with the following note:
Dear Ms. Davis,
I want to be very clear on my child’s illustration. It is NOT of me on a dance pole on a stage in a strip joint. I work at Home Depot and had commented to my daughter how much money we made in the recent snowstorm. This photo is of me selling a shovel.

Scissors ?

My dad wants hores but mom says no. Mom always ruins everything, doesn't she??

I'm still laughing. I'm going to have to show this to everyone I know. :)

Hahahahaha. I didn't think about that as a pole, but maybe standing on a porch knocking on doors...or a motivational speaker that everyone wants to come speak for them.

Oh my gosh, my husband and I were cracking up! He happened to see the scissors pic and was like, "Is that what I think it is?" LOL And the horses essay, well, that just tipped the boat....LOL.

I'm laughing so hard right now! I thought the drawings were hilarious but then I saw the essay. It reminds me of how my daughter's kindergarten teacher scolded us for editing her spelling.....I hope that's in a frame somewhere! My daughter is in 3rd grade and I took a photo of her story the other day...it started "Once a pona time...."
