I prefer to celebrate AZ Statehood Day...my native state's bday is today, too.
We went out for Chinese yesterday in honor of AZ statehood day.
It after 4 pm and I realized that neither one of us even remembered to utter the phrase "happy valentine's day." (we're an old married couple a la Edith and Archie :D

i'm not that into valentine's day, but i am into loving my family--we made cupcakes for dessert and are having steak for dinner. of course, i am preparing it all. ah well...happy valentine's day!

I actually had a lovely Valentine's Day but I know what you mean ... it can be a horrible holiday if you don't have someone to fill that role in your life. I'm in it just for the chocolate!

Well...now that the day is over, here I am telling you we had no plans. I did get a card and a cd this morning, which was completely unexpected because I told Andy I think the holiday os overrated and I am not getting him anything, and to not get anything for me. Of course he had to show me up.

Hope you had a nice Valentines day! I had a good one for a change. My guy went out of his way to give me something I really like rather than the whole flowers and chocolates bit. Don't get me wrong flowers and chocolates are cool, but a gift is so much better when it is well thought out.
Hope you had a great weekend---I'm not a V Day fan myself. But we still had a nice day and I even wore a red sweater!
