The Escape Artist

It happened.

I don’t know who freaked out more, me or the rodent.

I heard Trinity screaming... then, I to my horror I saw this

katey1

Hamster ball.

No hamster.

Throw some wasps and a few hairy spiders into the mix, and you have my worst nightmare come true.

But, I’m happy to say that cool heads prevailed, and we coaxed her out from under the couch with some cucumber.

No hamsters were harmed during the making of this post.

My nerves, however, are a different story.

Valium anyone???

I can relate. We have a guinea pig named Pooh Bear. Occasionally he gets to come out of his pen, and if he runs for cover, it's anyone's guess when he's coming out.

This is why I gave birth to boys... and why we don't own a hamster. =)

I clearly remember watching over someone's guinea pig and it got loose on me!
It was hours and hours later that i finally was able to put him back in the cage.
Glad you didn't freak too bad.

It happens. When we had hamsters when I was 11 (for like 2 months) they got loose several times. I found mine FLAT AS A PIECE OF PAPER under a box in my closet. No kidding. He'd tried to crawl underneath it and that flattening out trick rodents have only works for so long, LOL. He didn't make it under the whole box. Looked like a hamster version of a bear skin rug.

No more rodents for me! Glad you found yours though:-)

I'm telling you, no hamsters in this house. This mamma would lose it a little bit if it broke free.

You know, I am seriously considering getting a cat. I know that seems perfectly normal, but I sorta covet my pet hair free house. Why oh why would I give that up? Hmmm. Need to evaluate this a bit more.
